DfV Thinks: COVID-19. But I don't feel sick!
One things we've learned about the coronavirus is that symptoms can look very different from person to person. Even if you don't feel particularly sick, there's a chance that you could have come into contact with COVID-19.
Keeping the greater good in mind, it's important to wear a mask whenever you go in public and be sure to wash your hands with soap for at least 20 seconds!
That pesky virus that causes COVID-19 is spread by tiny droplets of saliva. When someone has come into contact with the virus and they breathe, cough, or sneeze teeny tiny particles that contain the Coronavirus travel out of their lungs and land on whatever is nearby. This is why it's so important to stay at least 6 feet away from people who don't live inside of your home, to wear a mask over your nose and mouth, and to wash your hands for at least 20 seconds.
If you follow these simple steps, you can help stop the spread of COVID-19 and be a health hero at home!
What else can we do to help?
We can all help protect older people, and people who have weakened immune systems who may be more likely to get sick from COVID-19.
Follow the advice of your physician and local governments in staying safe at home.
Wash your hands often for at least 20 seconds (you can even sing songs to make it more fun!).
You may not feel sick, and you or your friends and families may not seem sick, but sneaky coronavirus likes to hang out with you before you even know its there! You can outsmart the virus by following these guidelines.
